The End has received four starred reviews!

Once again good fortune has smiled on me with Caldecott-winning artist Richard Egielski being chosen as the illustrator for this book. I especially love how his paintings on the end papers extend the story in both directions. Readers with a careful eye will discover how Richard’s elf on a flying pig adds a whole new subplot, which I never included in my text. I’m still finding new surprises every time I look at his beautifully detailed illustrations.

From the time I sent the story to my editor, till the time it was published as a book, four and a half years passed—but it was well worth the wait!
